The Insulated Down Conductor Cable is a high-performance lightning protection conductor designed to safely carry lightning discharge current from the air terminal to the grounding system. The Insulated Down Conductor Cable is a critical component of a Lightning Protection System (LPS), engineered to safely conduct high lightning currents from the air terminal or lightning arrester to the earth termination system. The insulated outer sheath enhances electrical safety by reducing the risk of accidental contact, flashover, and damage to nearby equipment or building structures.
Manufactured with a high-conductivity stranded copper or aluminum conductor and protected by a UV-resistant, flame-retardant XLPE or PVC insulation, the cable offers excellent current-carrying capability, flexibility, and long-term durability. It is resistant to corrosion, moisture, chemicals, and harsh weather conditions, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.
