The Lightning Strike Counter is an essential monitoring device for Lightning Protection Systems (LPS), engineered to detect and count lightning discharge currents passing through the down conductor. Installed directly on the lightning conductor, it automatically records every lightning strike, enabling maintenance personnel to verify system activity and schedule inspections based on actual strike events.
Manufactured with a robust weather-resistant polycarbonate or stainless steel housing, the Lightning Strike Counter is built to withstand harsh outdoor environments, including rain, UV exposure, humidity, and extreme temperatures. Its non-resettable or resettable mechanical/digital display (model dependent) provides a clear and accurate record of lightning strikes without requiring an external power source.
